According to information provided by Federal Government, the diagnoses underlying the exemptions are varied. The main group currently is pain patients (including painful spasticity in multiple sclerosis) with a proportion of approximately 62 percent (as of June 2016). The next largest group are ADHD patients with a share of approx. 12 percent, followed by patients with depression (approx. 6 percent), inappetence / cachexia (approx. 4.5 percent), Tourette syndrome (approx. 4 percent), enteropathy (approx. 4 percent), epilepsy (approx. 3.5 percent), other psychiatric diseases (approx. 3 percent.) and/or other neurological diseases (approx. 0.5 percent) and lung diseases (approx. 0.5 percent).
